Open Drivers Summit - Tuesday July 25, 2006 - Beaverton, OR

As part of the request from the Linux kernel community, OSDL is setting up an open drivers mini conference to educate companies on how to open source their various drivers for Linux. While some of the kernel developers are focusing directly on the development engineers and providing training seminars about writing good code that will be accepted by the kernel community, this event's purpose is to provide training to other members of a development team including managers and program managers.

The conference will take place Tuesday July 25, 2006. The conference is intended to be hosted in Beaverton, Oregon and coincide with OSCON in Portland, Oregon. The audience will be targeted towards managers and program managers of software developers that are coding drivers for open source, and in particular, the Linux kernel.
